Returning members will need to file a completed application, grower's permit, all other necessary permits, and pay rent before selling at the Walker County Farmers Market for the 2026 season.
There are strict limits on what can be sold at the Walker County Farmes Market. We focus on sales of produce grown by local farmers with some processed food allowed. Our rules detail what exactly is allowed but it roughly includes:

We have a limit on processed food vendors and we are not accepting vendors who sell processed foods at this time.
Further, we are not actively accepting new members right now unless you produce something that is not currently available at the market and is consistent with our rules. We have growers producing most common crops available in Alabama, but there are a few gaps. Feel free to look through our rules and application and forward us a completed copy if you think that you produce a crop that we should add to the market.
